Keegan Bradley accused of verbal tirade against Ryder Cup official

Allegations have emerged regarding former U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley allegedly engaging in a profanity-filled tirade against veteran rules official Jeff Kiddie during the 2025 tournament at Bethpage Black.

According to PGA professional Chandler Withington, the confrontation occurred during the final day’s singles competition as the United States was attempting a comeback against Team Europe. Withington reported that Bradley confronted Kiddie three times over two holes, specifically during the match between Cameron Young and Justin Rose. The dispute reportedly centered on a complicated rules decision involving a ball drop on the 14th hole.

Withington claimed Bradley used aggressive language, expressing frustration that the official’s decisions were interfering with the American team’s momentum. The incident was so distressing that Kiddie reportedly expressed a desire to never work another Ryder Cup. Neither Bradley nor Kiddie has issued a public response to these claims. Despite a strong performance by the Americans on the final day, Europe ultimately retained the trophy with a 15–13 victory.
