Keegan Swenson wins record-tying sixth straight Leadville Trail 100 MTB

Keegan Swenson has secured his sixth consecutive victory at the Leadville Trail 100 MTB, tying the record for consecutive wins. Swenson completed the 102-mile mountain bike race with a time of 5 hours, 20 minutes, and 26 seconds.

Unlike previous years where Swenson rode solo, the final stages of this race featured a competitive pack. After establishing a 30-second lead at the top of the Columbine Mine climb, Swenson was caught by a group of riders including John Gaston, Bradyn Lange, and Matthew Wilson. Gaston, an Aspen-based athlete, challenged Swenson in the final miles and briefly took the lead with approximately 10 miles remaining before ultimately finishing fourth.

Bradyn Lange and Matthew Wilson managed to reel in the leaders during the final sections of the course. Tour de France professional Quinn Simmons, who was a highly anticipated competitor, finished in ninth place.
