Keenable raises $26 million to build AI-centric search infrastructure
San Francisco-based startup Keenable has emerged from stealth with $26 million in seed funding to develop web search infrastructure specifically designed for artificial intelligence models and autonomous agents. The funding round was led by Accel, with participation from Conviction, Brightwing Capital, scOp Venture Capital, and angel investors from companies including Amazon, Google, Databricks, and SpaceX.
Keenable is building an independent search index containing over 100 billion documents. Unlike traditional search engines optimized for human users, Keenable’s platform is engineered for the high-frequency, low-latency queries typical of AI agents. The infrastructure aims to provide cost-efficient, continuous access to live web information, addressing the economic and access challenges posed by conventional search APIs.
The company offers specialized APIs for use cases such as market mapping, pricing monitoring, and lead enrichment, providing “model-ready inputs” and supporting historical point-in-time queries. The leadership team includes CEO Andrey Styskin, formerly of Yandex, and Chief Scientist Matthias Petri, formerly of Amazon AGI.
