Kefalonia father of two dies after vehicle plunges into gorge

A 30‑year‑old father of two was killed when his professional vehicle veered off the road and fell dozens of metres into a steep gorge in the Háraka area of north Kefalonia, Greece. The accident prompted an immediate rescue operation; because the terrain was too hazardous for land access, fire crews approached the site by boat and recovered the body from a remote, rocky beach near the village of Assos.

Shortly before the crash the driver posted a farewell message on social media, saying he was leaving the world and urging others to seek help with their problems. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the vehicle’s deviation and the circumstances surrounding the incident, while the local community remains shocked by the tragedy.
