Kefalonia hosts international film festival and summer cultural events

The island of Kefalonia is hosting various cultural activities this August. The 5th KYMATA International Film Festival will take place in Argostoli from August 21 to August 30, offering free admission to the public.

Featured guests for the festival include Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski, producer Ewa Piaskowska, and actor Zlatko Burić. The program includes screenings of films such as ‘Deep End’, ‘EO’, and ‘Four Nights with Anna’, followed by discussions with the creators. Additionally, director Yiannis Economides will present his new film ‘Spasmeni Fleva’. The festival also features an International Short Film Competition with 23 films from 12 countries and a thematic focus on 1980s Greece.

In other news, actress Stefania Goulioiti shared her summer holiday experiences on the island, noting her deep connection to the location and its people.
