Giorgos Mazonakis delights crowd with song at Kamena Vourla panigiri
On the evening of Sunday, 26‑27 July, popular Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis made a spontaneous appearance at the traditional panigiri of AO Kamenē Vourla, held in the courtyard of the local closed gymnasium. Responding to an invitation announced by host Chara Véra, he took the stage and performed the well‑known song “Απορώ”, accompanied by renowned clarinetist Vasilis Saleas.
Mazonakis bowed to Saleas, drawing an enthusiastic response from the assembled crowd, which cheered loudly and later shared a video of the moment on social media. The surprise performance was highlighted as a memorable highlight of the local festival.
The event attracted several hundred attendees from the town and surrounding area, reinforcing the role of live music in regional cultural celebrations.
