Detroit Tigers' Keider Montero and Angels' Samuel Natera deliver dominant pitching in MLB games

Detroit Tigers starter Keider Montero threw four perfect innings against the Chicago White Sox, using just 33 pitches with 24 strikes. He set the lowest pitch‑count record for a Detroit starter since July 2018, retired 13 consecutive batters, and left after seven innings with a total of 76 pitches, no walks, three strikeouts and only a two‑run home run allowing his sole blemish.

Los Angeles Angels reliever Samuel Natera Jr. came in during the sixth inning against the Sacramento Athletics and worked 1⅓ innings, allowing one hit and no runs on 28 pitches (18 strikes). His effort helped the Angels complete a 7‑0 shutout, improving his season line to six innings pitched, zero earned runs, eight strikeouts and a 1.00 WHIP.
