Keihin Port issues navigation ban for fireworks display

A navigation ban has been issued for specific waters within Keihin Port, including Yokohama Ward, District 5, and the area in front of Umi no Koen. The restriction is scheduled to begin at 17:30 on August 22, 2026, and will remain in effect until the conclusion of a fireworks display and subsequent safety confirmation, expected around 20:30.

The ban applies to all vessels except for workboats involved in the fireworks launch, security vessels, and other ships specifically permitted by the Keihin Port Master. Safety markers, including yellow signal lights and orange buoys with red flags and blue rotating lights, have been deployed to mark the restricted zone.
