Keiko Hisatomi resigns from TV Asahi after 14 years

TV Asahi announcer Keiko Hisatomi has resigned from the broadcaster as of August 31. In a statement shared on her Instagram, the 38-year-old expressed deep gratitude for her 14-year career with the company, describing the workplace as a warm and family-like environment.

Hisatomi, who joined the network in 2012, was known for her work on programs such as ‘Good! Morning’ and the sports show ‘Yabecchi FC’. Regarding her future plans, she stated that she intends to focus primarily on child-rearing while continuing to explore new personal possibilities.

Hisatomi married former Japan national football team player Yuki Otsu in 2018. The couple has two sons, born in 2021 and 2023. Otsu, who retired from professional football in 2023, is set to become the president of Commit Co., Ltd. in November 2025.
