Keilaniemen Portti office building completed in Espoo

The Keilaniemen Portti office building has been completed in Espoo, Finland. Developed by the pension insurance company Varma and constructed by Jatke Toimitilat Oy, the project is noted for its advanced use of wood construction to enhance speed, safety, and reduce its carbon footprint.

Standing at a ridge height of 56 meters, the building is one of Europe’s tallest commercial structures to utilize wood as a primary frame material, featuring glulam pillars and recycled steel beams. Designed by the architectural firm ARCO, the building is characterized by its sloping shape and wood-clad facade.

Located near the Keilaaniemi metro station and the Raide-Joker light rail terminus, the building will host tenants including Metsä Group, CSC, and the restaurant operator Soupster.
