Keira Bevan moves to fly-half for Wales WXV opener

Wales will launch their WXV 1 campaign this Friday against South Africa with a significant tactical shift, moving experienced scrum-half Keira Bevan to the fly-half position.

Head coach Sean Lynn noted that the decision followed Bevan’s impressive performances with the Bristol Bears at the end of the national season. The move is intended to add a new dimension to the Welsh attack, utilizing Bevan’s distribution skills, tactical kicking, and game management experience to orchestrate the backline.

Lynn indicated that Bevan appears comfortable in the role and is expected to act as a general on and off the field. Her partnership with Seren Lockwood has shown promise during training preparations for the tournament opener at Cardiff Arms Park.
