Keçiören Municipality First Ankara Unit to Get AFAD Rescue Accreditation

Keçiören Municipality’s KEÇTİM Urban Search and Rescue team successfully completed the two‑stage AFAD accreditation program, becoming the first municipal rescue unit in Ankara to receive the Urban Search and Rescue Accreditation Certificate.

The assessment covered documentation and administrative readiness, operational planning, technical equipment, logistics, medical support, and a simulated disaster scenario. The team of 31 personnel earned full marks, demonstrating compliance with national and international standards and establishing a model for municipal disaster preparedness in Turkey.
