Keçiören Municipality Launches Direct Producer Markets

The Keçiören Municipality has introduced a series of Producer Markets that allow local farmers and artisans to sell their products directly to residents without intermediaries. The initiative, announced by Mayor Dr. Mesut Özarslan, aims to provide consumers with fresh, natural goods at lower prices while giving producers a larger share of the revenue.

Markets operate three days a week at designated neighborhood sites: Bağlum on Mondays, Etlik on Wednesdays, and Bademlik on Saturdays. Citizens have responded positively, citing the opportunity to support local producers and reduce household food costs.

The program allocates free sales space for agricultural and handcrafted items, facilitating a direct link between producers and the community and contributing to the local economy.
