Keisha Lance Bottoms campaign scheduled for Atlanta rally
Former President Barack Obama is scheduled to join Keisha Lance Bottoms and U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff for a campaign rally in Atlanta during the final week of October. The event is intended to provide a boost to Bottoms' gubernatorial campaign.
Democratic strategist Andrew Heaton noted that while Bottoms possesses strengths, many Democrats express nervousness regarding her campaign. Critics of the former Atlanta mayor have focused on her decision not to seek a second term and her handling of pandemic-era mask mandates, which led to legal challenges from Republican Governor Brian Kemp.
