Keisha Lance Bottoms campaigns in Georgia for governor

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms visited Tifton, Georgia, as part of a statewide campaign tour ahead of the November election. During her visit, the former Atlanta mayor met with community members to discuss policy concerns, including rising costs, infrastructure, healthcare, and higher education.

Bottoms pledged to pursue Medicaid expansion, support for rural farmers, small businesses, and workforce development. She also criticized her opponent, Rick Jackson, regarding his support for data centers and his business interests in the state’s healthcare system.

In previous commentary, Bottoms has addressed legislative issues in Georgia, previously describing anti-riot laws as “silly” and “asinine” during an interview regarding proposals to increase penalties for public protests.
