Keishiro Fujiwara wins first G1 title at Boat Race Kojima

Keishiro Fujiwara secured his first G1 victory at Boat Race Kojima during the 74th Anniversary King Cup. Competing from the number one boat, the 36-year-old from Okayama utilized an inside escape to claim the title.

This victory earned Fujiwara 12 million yen, elevating his prize money ranking to 36th. The win also grants him entry into the SG Classic in Karatsu scheduled for next March. Fujiwara noted that while he felt some tension during the race, the momentum and developments during the session aided his performance.
