Keisuke Honda joins Singapore's FC Jurong

Former Japan national team star Keisuke Honda has joined FC Jurong, formerly known as Albirex Niigata Singapore, in the Singapore Premier League. This marks the 39-year-old midfielder's 11th country of professional play.

During a press conference held at Jurong East Stadium, Honda expressed his passion for continuing to play competitively and his desire to win championships. Despite his ongoing investment activities in Japan and the United States, he intends to spend more than half of the year in Singapore to focus on training and matches.

Honda also addressed his long-term ambitions, stating that he aspires to become the manager of the Japan national team. He noted that while he is focused on his current season with FC Jurong, he recognizes the need for further experience before pursuing such a role.
