Japan midfielder Keito Nakamura draws interest from Premier League clubs

Japanese international midfielder Keito Nakamura, who plays for Stade Briochin in France’s Ligue 2, has attracted attention from several English Premier League teams. The BBC reports that Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham are monitoring the 24‑year‑old after his performances at the 2026 World Cup, where he stepped in for the injured Kaoru Mitoma and recorded a goal and an assist. Nakamura scored 14 goals for Stade Briochin last season, and his club is said to have an agreement that would allow a transfer for an appropriate fee, estimated at around £21.5 million (≈¥4.6 billion). Both Everton and Bournemouth have inquired about possible terms, though further negotiations would depend on squad considerations, while Fulham, under a potential new managerial appointment, also shows strong interest.
