Keisuke Kuata to perform theme song for Yo Oizumi drama

Musician Keisuke Kuata will perform the theme song for the upcoming Nippon TV drama ‘Ore-tachi no Hakone Ekiden’, based on the novel by Jun Ikeido. The announcement was made during the program ‘120 Million People’s Thank You! Song Festival’.

Lead actor Yo Oizumi reportedly fulfilled a long-held dream of having Kuata write a theme song for one of his starring roles. The song is currently in the final recording stages to capture the essence of the runners in the Hakone Ekiden relay race. The track will be premiered during the drama's first broadcast on October 10, 2026.

Additionally, Kuata is set to release a live album titled ‘Kudan-shita Folk Festival ’25’ on November 3, 2026. All profits from this release will be donated to support disaster relief efforts, including those for the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake.
