Keith Faber and John Kulewicz vie for Ohio attorney general
Ohio voters will select a new attorney general this November to succeed Dave Yost, a Republican who resigned in May. The race features two primary candidates: Republican Keith Faber and Democrat John Kulewicz.
Keith Faber, the current state auditor and former Senate President, has secured endorsements from various sheriffs and police unions. Faber has proposed creating a specialized unit within the office to intervene aggressively when health insurers deny legitimate claims, aiming to protect consumer confidence.
John Kulewicz, a Central Ohio city councilor, enters the race following a 44-year career at the law firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease. The elected attorney general will oversee the state crime lab and police academy, defend state laws, and enforce consumer protection regulations.
