Keith Lee faces backlash after near-fatal Texas crash

Food influencer Keith Lee is facing backlash following a video in which he expressed gratitude to God for sparing his family during a near-fatal wrong-way crash in Texas. The incident occurred around midnight on the US 67 freeway in Duncanville.

According to Lee, a vehicle swerved across all four lanes before slamming into a wall. While Lee and his passengers escaped unharmed, the crash resulted in the death of 29-year-old Kenan Ellis and left two of Ellis’ cousins hospitalized.

Investigators identified the wrong-way driver as 29-year-old Alexander Nunez, who was operating a stolen vehicle from Irving. Nunez has been charged with intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault, and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Lee has since deleted the video, which drew criticism from some viewers who described his religious testimony as ‘extremely tone-deaf’ given the fatality.
