Keith Lee's AEW future remains uncertain amid reports of no creative plans

The professional wrestling future of Keith Lee remains uncertain as reports indicate All Elite Wrestling (AEW) currently has no creative plans for the former World Tag Team Champion. Lee has been absent from television and in-ring competition for nearly three years.

Lee’s last match took place on December 23, 2023, during the AEW Collision: Holiday Bash. Although he was scheduled to face Swerve Strickland at Worlds End later that month, he was unable to compete after failing to receive medical clearance. Following an extended period of health issues, Lee underwent two surgeries in early 2024.

While Lee has previously noted that his health had improved, no official comeback date has been set. Although industry speculation in July suggested he might have retired, Lee has not made a public announcement regarding retirement. Previous discussions in June 2026 regarding a television return did not result in an appearance.
