Keith Michael Donoghue wins 136th Velká Pardubická

Irish jockey Keith Michael Donoghue secured his second victory in the 136th Velká Pardubická steeplechase riding Final Orders. The race concluded with a tight battle between Donoghue and Jan Faltejsek, who finished in second place aboard Godfrey.

Despite the rain and a challenging track, Donoghue utilized the stamina of Final Orders to overtake Faltejsek in the final stretch. Donoghue noted that while Faltejsek's horse was a tougher opponent than expected, his own horse's tenacity allowed for the win. During the race, Donoghue reported losing a stirrup at the Taxis obstacle and making a minor error at the live fence, but managed to maintain control.

Faltejsek expressed disappointment at being narrowly defeated by international competition for the second time. Trainer Dalibor Török commented on the increasing competitiveness of the event, noting that international riders are increasingly drawn to the race.
