Keith Urban becomes emotional during Atlantic City concert
Country singer Keith Urban became visibly emotional during a Friday night concert at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The 58-year-old performer appeared to struggle with tears while performing the song ‘We Go Back’ from his latest album, Flow State.
Before the performance, Urban explained that the track tells the story of childhood sweethearts who fall in love in a small town, only for the relationship to end after the man makes a mistake. He noted that the song's narrative involves the two characters crossing paths years later, only for the woman to have moved on with someone else.
The emotional performance follows the finalization of Urban's divorce from actress Nicole Kidman in January, ending a 19-year marriage. Recent reports have also linked Kidman to private equity businessman Michael Reinstein.
