Keito Nakamura earns praise despite Lyon's first loss to RC Lens

Olympique Lyonnais suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 1-2 to RC Lens in a Ligue 1 match on October 9. After remaining undefeated in their first five matches, the team conceded an early goal in the 36th minute and a second following a free kick conceded by Keito Nakamura.

Nakamura entered the match as a substitute in the 60th minute to replace the injured Loïs Openda. Despite his involvement in the free kick that led to Lens' second goal, French media outlets provided positive assessments of his performance. 'Olympique et Lyonnais' noted that while he conceded the free kick, he was a 'very active and dangerous presence' for the opposition, suggesting only a lack of final clinical precision held him back. 'Foot Mercato' also highlighted that his introduction added technical quality to the final stages of the attack.
