Kejari Lamongan destroys evidence from 38 criminal cases

The Lamongan District Attorney's Office (Kejari Lamongan) destroyed various pieces of evidence from 38 criminal cases that have reached final legal standing (inkracht) between June and August 2026.

The destruction, carried out by the Asset Recovery and Evidence Management Division, aims to implement court rulings and prevent the misuse of evidence that is no longer needed for legal processes. According to Intelligence Chief Erfan Nurcahyo, the destruction is conducted periodically to maintain security and order.

Narcotics evidence was a significant portion of the items destroyed, including 115.47 grams of crystal methamphetamine (sabu) from 19 cases, 45.6 grams of marijuana from 2 cases, 794 various pills from 4 cases, and 21 ecstasy pills from 1 case. Other items included 11 mobile phones, 7 digital scales, and 217 other pieces of evidence such as clothing, a press tool, and packaging materials related to 50 different cases.
