Kejti Peri's Malta mishap and Kosovo flag stunt spark controversy

During the Isle of MTV Malta festival, singer Kejti Peri entered a large inflatable bottle that the audience was supposed to carry to a nearby straw. Fans pushed the bottle in the wrong direction, leaving her trapped away from the stage. Peri shouted for the crowd to move the bottle toward the straw, eventually being returned to the stage and continuing her performance.

A few weeks later, at the Sunny Hill festival in Priština, Peri raised a flag representing Kosovo on the stage as part of a lunar‑landing themed act. The stunt, accompanied by performers in astronaut suits, triggered a heated debate on social media. Comments ranged from support to criticism, including the remark “Ja sam Albanac, ali Kosovo je deo Srbije.” Dua Lipa, a co‑organiser of the festival, praised Peri’s appearance, saying “O moj Bože!
