Keka Bagno discusses historic female leadership in Distrito Federal

Newly elected District Deputy Keka Bagno (PSOL) commented on the historical significance of Celina Leão (PP) being re-elected to lead the Distrito Federal. Bagno noted the importance of having a woman govern the capital for the first time.

Bagno stated that her mandate in the Legislative Chamber of the DF (CLDF) will prioritize the defense of women's rights. While expressing a willingness to support proposals that improve the lives of the population, she pledged firm opposition to any initiatives that represent a regression in rights. She specifically criticized the lack of implementation regarding certain recommendations from the 2021 femicide Parliamentary Inquiry Commission.
