Keke Palmer credits Queen Latifah for career mentorship

During an appearance on Amy Poehler’s ‘Good Hang’ podcast, Keke Palmer discussed the professional guidance she received from mentor Queen Latifah. Palmer credited Latifah with teaching her the importance of letting her work ethic and professionalism speak for itself, noting that ‘it’s not what you say. It’s what you do.’

Palmer recalled that Latifah once referred her for a role based on her professional conduct. The two actors have previously collaborated on projects including ‘Barbershop 2: Back in Business’, ‘Joyful Noise’, and ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’. They are both scheduled to appear on NBC’s ‘The Voice: Celebrity’, where Palmer will serve as host and Latifah will act as a judge.
