KELA updates SLING platform to enhance supply chain risk management
KELA has announced a major update to SLING, a third-party risk assessment and management platform developed by its group company. The update aims to address the rising threat of supply chain attacks facilitated by AI-driven cyber threats.
Key features of the update include the implementation of ‘ROSE AI’, an interactive AI assistant that translates complex threat detection results into plain language and provides specific remediation steps. The platform now also supports questionnaires compliant with the cybersecurity guidelines of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Financial Services Agency (FSA), allowing companies to manage technical scores and assessment results in a single interface.
Additionally, the update introduces a multi-tenant management panel designed for large corporate groups and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to manage risks across multiple subsidiaries or clients. Future developments planned for the roadmap include AI-generated risk reports for executives, automated supplier discovery, and quantitative models to assess the financial and operational impact of security incidents.
