Kelani Jordan to defend NXT Women’s Championship against Wren Sinclair

WWE has officially confirmed that Kelani Jordan will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Wren Sinclair at Halloween Havoc 2026. The match announcement follows a controversial series of events involving Sinclair.

Sinclair previously faced a suspension following an attack on Jordan and an incident involving a referee. Despite this, she entered a 20-woman No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal on the October 6 episode of NXT disguised as AAA wrestler Lady Shani. After winning the match, Sinclair revealed her true identity, securing her title shot.

During the October 13 episode of NXT, General Manager Robert Stone intervened to settle a dispute between the competitors. Jordan has challenged the legitimacy of the match, accusing Sinclair of taking a shortcut and stealing an identity rather than earning the opportunity fairly. Sinclair defended her actions, stating she was willing to take risks to change her career trajectory after facing previous setbacks and injuries to her peers.
