Kelantan City FC targets top two finish in Liga A1

Kelantan City FC has set a target to finish in the top two positions of the upcoming 2026/27 Liga A1 Semi-Pro season. During the club's jersey launch event, President Tan Sri Annuar Musa stated that the club aims to build a strong foundation from the ground up rather than rushing into the Liga Super. He emphasized that the club intends to remain in the Liga A1 for at least two seasons to ensure financial stability and competitive readiness.

Annuar Musa expressed ambition to compete against major feeder teams such as Johor Darul Ta’zim II and Selangor FC II. To strengthen the squad, the club has recruited experienced players including Muhammad Hadin Azman, Wan Zaharul Nizam Wan Zakaria, and Nazrin Nawi.

Head coach Alfredo Gonzalez highlighted the importance of player mentality, noting that mental strength is essential when facing high-caliber opponents. He stated that on the pitch, matches are decided by the performance of the 11 players involved, regardless of the opponent's reputation.
