Kelantan nurse seriously injured in domestic stabbing attack

In Kelantan, Malaysia, a 44-year-old nurse was seriously injured after being stabbed six times by her husband. The victim sustained wounds to her neck, chest, and abdomen and is currently receiving treatment at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II.

The victim's 19-year-old son reported that the couple had been married for approximately six years and were in the process of divorcing. He stated that the 52-year-old husband had previously made death threats, claiming he would kill her if she proceeded with the divorce. During the attack, the victim's 12-year-old son attempted to intervene and managed to knock the knife from the assailant's hand, causing the blade to break before the man fled.

Police have detained the suspect for seven days to assist with investigations. The suspect reportedly has no employment and a prior record involving two drug-related cases.
