Keletso Makgalwa explains choosing Simba SC over Kaizer Chiefs

Footballer Keletso Makgalwa has explained his decision to join Tanzanian club Simba SC despite receiving offers from South African teams, including Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu.

Makgalwa, 29, joined Simba in July following two seasons with Sekhukhune United. He noted that while playing for Kaizer Chiefs was a childhood ambition, he ultimately sought a fresh start in a different country. He also cited the financial benefits of the move as a key factor in his ability to support his family.

To prepare for the transition, Makgalwa consulted with individuals already playing in Tanzania to understand the local football environment. He acknowledged that while he received warnings regarding the quality of some pitches, he believes the move has been worthwhile, offering him the chance to compete in the CAF Champions League.
