Kell Brook announces professional boxing comeback

Former IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook has announced his return to professional boxing after a three-year hiatus. The Sheffield native, who last competed in 2022 with a victory over Amir Khan, confirmed his comeback during a ringside appearance, stating that a “massive” fight is expected to take place on UK soil before the end of 2026.

Brook has reportedly renewed his license with the British Boxing Board of Control and intends to compete in the middleweight or super middleweight divisions, marking a significant move up from his previous weight classes. While he has not officially named an opponent, he has not ruled out a highly anticipated matchup against Chris Eubank Jr, suggesting that an announcement regarding the fight is imminent.
