Kellan Lutz discusses struggles with fame after Twilight

Actor Kellan Lutz has opened up about the personal struggles he faced following the success of the ‘Twilight’ film franchise. Speaking on the ‘Inside of You’ podcast, Lutz described feeling ‘stressed and desperate’ as he attempted to maintain his career momentum by auditioning for major roles in films such as ‘Captain America’ and ‘Thor’.

Lutz admitted that the pressure to succeed led him to lose his sense of self. He revealed that he even attempted to imitate the deep speaking voice of actor Jason Statham during auditions before his manager intervened, noting that he was no longer acting like himself.

In addition to professional pressure, Lutz discussed the difficulties of sudden fame, including the constant presence of paparazzi outside his home and the scrutiny regarding his physique in magazines. Despite these challenges, the actor expressed gratitude for his experience with the ‘Twilight’ series and stated that he prioritizes the enjoyment of acting over winning awards.
