Kelly Clarkson Says She's Glad to Be Single During Las Vegas Residency
The 44‑year‑old singer and former talk‑show host addressed her relationship status during a July 2026 “Studio Sessions” performance at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. She told the audience, “People are like, ‘Oh, why are you single?’ And I’m like, ‘First of all, there are a lot of people out here making single look real good.’” She added, “If you didn’t really understand what I meant, it’s like you see relationships and you’re like, ‘I am so glad I’m going home alone.’” Clarkson said the hardest part of any partnership is “keeping the fire alive and still dating, making it feel magical and not monotonous.”
She also referenced her late ex‑husband, music manager Brandon Blackstock, who died in August 2025 after a battle with melanoma. The couple share two children, daughter River (12) and son Remington (10). Clarkson has recently announced the end of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” after seven seasons to focus on her family. During the show she mentioned a rule set by daughter River not to accept drinks from strangers, underscoring her focus on safety and personal peace.
