Indiana Fever overhaul front office with president and GM departures

The Indiana Fever have undergone a major leadership shake-up following their first-round playoff exit. Pacers Sports & Entertainment announced that team president Kelly Krauskopf is stepping down after nearly three decades with the organization. Krauskopf, a pioneering executive who helped found the Fever in 2000 and led them to a 2012 WNBA championship, informed leadership of her decision prior to the conclusion of the 2026 regular season.

Hours after Krauskopf’s announcement, the franchise confirmed that general manager and chief operating officer Amber Cox has been fired, effective immediately. Cox joined the team in 2024 and oversaw a season in which the Fever set a franchise record with 28 wins and led the league in scoring.

Despite these high-level departures, head coach Stephanie White is expected to remain in her role for the 2027 season. The organization faces a pivotal offseason involving the free agency of star guard Kelsey Mitchell and potential contract extensions for star player Caitlin Clark.
