Kelly Olynyk nears agreement to join BC Roma

Canadian center Kelly Olynyk is nearing an agreement to join the Italian Serie A club BC Roma, marking the end of his 13-season career in the NBA. Reports indicate that an agreement in principle has been reached, with the club working to finalize bureaucratic procedures and medical examinations.

Olynyk, a 7-foot veteran with 842 NBA regular-season appearances, most recently played for the San Antonio Spurs. Throughout his career, he played for several franchises, including the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz, and Toronto Raptors. Known as a versatile modern big man, he maintains a career three-point shooting average of 36.9%.

If the deal is finalized, Olynyk is expected to be available for BC Roma's derby against Maxima Roma on October 11.
