Dawn Richards has issued a political endorsement for Kelly Purvis, highlighting Purvis’s commitment to nonpartisan governance in Coronado. Richards notes that while the city government has seen an increase in partisan politics, Purvis has maintained a pragmatic approach focused on community needs and research.

Purvis’s background includes 12 years of city employment and 40 years of community involvement. Richards cites Purvis’s work with the COVID Neighbor2Neighbor program, where she helped coordinate communication and emergency response during the pandemic, as well as her contributions to the Cultural Arts Commission.
