Kelly Ripa denies husband Mark Consuelos role in funeral attire

During a Wednesday broadcast of ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’, Kelly Ripa shared her specific posthumous wishes, including her refusal to let her husband, Mark Consuelos, be in charge of dressing her for her funeral.

Ripa designated the show’s longtime producer, Michael Gelman, as her funeral planner, insisting the event be a ‘destination’ service. When Consuelos asked if he would be responsible for her attire, Ripa declined, stating that her stylist should handle the task if Gelman is managing the event.

Ripa explained that the couple had previously agreed Consuelos should not dress her, citing a past medical emergency where he dressed her for an emergency room visit after she had lost consciousness. She joked that the outfit—consisting of a green leotard, soccer pants, and high heels—caused her to be bypassed by triage in favor of more critical patients.
