Kelly Ripa's Return to 'Live' Set for September 8 After Gum Surgery

Talk‑show host Kelly Ripa has been absent from ABC’s "Live with Kelly and Mark" since late July after undergoing a gum graft surgery. Her husband and co‑host Mark Consuelos disclosed the procedure on the July 27 broadcast, noting that the surgery was recommended years earlier and caused significant discomfort.

During Ripa’s recovery, a rotating roster of guest co‑hosts—including the Jonas Brothers, Mila Kunis, and Carrie Coon—filled her seat. The show will resume its regular schedule after the summer hiatus, with Ripa slated to return on September 8, the first episode following Labor Day.
