Kelly Rowland joins The Voice UK as coach

Kelly Rowland, the former Destiny’s Child singer, is joining The Voice UK as a coach. Rowland will perform a snippet of The Bee Gees’ ‘Emotion’ during her blind audition for the new series, which is set to launch on ITV on August 22.

Rowland replaces country singer LeAnn Rimes on the coaching panel. She will join existing coaches Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am, and McFly’s Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones. The new season also introduces a ‘rewind button,’ allowing coaches one opportunity during blind auditions to reconsider an act that has already left the stage.

Emma Willis is returning as the host for the upcoming season. Rowland previously served as a judge on The X Factor UK, where she was involved in the formation of the group Little Mix.
