Kelly Sildaru takes second at Snow League opening in Cardona

Freestyle skier Kelly Sildaru secured second place in both the individual and team categories at the opening stage of the Snow League in Cardona, New Zealand. Representing Team Europe, Sildaru successfully navigated the halfpipe semi-finals, scoring 77 and 74 points to defeat Indra Brown of the Asia-Pacific team.

A final duel against Mischa Thomas of Team Challengers was prevented by high winds. Consequently, the winner was determined based on semi-final scores, with Thomas declared the victor.

Team Europe finished second in the overall team standings with 27 points, trailing Team Challengers, who took first place with 37 points. The Asia-Pacific team placed third with 22 points, while Team North America finished fourth with 14 points. The Snow League season will continue with upcoming stages in Aspen, Park City, and Laax, which will feature individual competitions.
