Kelowna bus‑scooter crash kills 97‑year‑old man
On Sunday, July 26, 2026, at about 1:30 p.m., a 97‑year‑old man riding a mobility scooter was struck by a charter bus on Benvoulin Road near Rampone Road in Kelowna, British Columbia. The victim was taken to Kelowna General Hospital with serious injuries and later died; none of the bus occupants were injured.
Kelowna RCMP responded, deploying a collision reconstructionist and confirming that criminal activity and driver impairment are not believed to be factors. Cpl.
