Kelowna election candidates participate in rapid-fire community meet

Candidates for the Kelowna municipal election participated in a “speed-meet” event hosted by the Pandosy Neighbourhood Association (PNA) at Pandosy Waterfront Park. The two-hour event allowed more than 30 candidates running for mayor, city council, and school trustee to engage in three-minute face-to-face conversations with local residents.

During the event, heritage preservationists from the Friends and Residents of the Abbott Street Heritage Conservation Area Society (FRAHCAS) questioned candidates regarding new developments and conservation. Among the candidates present were realtor Hamid Khajavi and Susan Ames, the president of FRAHCAS, who is also running for Kelowna City Council.
