Kelowna fashion show raises funds for Parkinson's research

The third Spirit of Hope fashion show held in downtown Kelowna raised over $35,700 to support Parkinson’s disease research. The event, which took place on October 15 at Erica Jane Restaurant, included a silent auction, a fashion show, and keynote addresses from neurologists Dr. Daryl Wile and Dr. Talyta Cortez Grippe.

The proceeds will be directed to the Humphreys Family Movement Disorder Clinic at Kelowna General Hospital. The funds raised during the event were matched by the Humphrey family. According to Interior Health, approximately 3,000 people within the health district's jurisdiction are living with Parkinson’s disease, highlighting an increasing need for specialized local care.
