Kelowna Gospel Mission holds annual charity golf classic

The Kelowna Gospel Mission Charity Golf Classic took place at the Sunset Ranch Golf and Country Club on Friday, August 28, 2026. The event brought together more than 120 golfers from various businesses to raise funds for the organization’s community services.

Proceeds from the event support life-saving programs, including outreach, dental care, and transitional housing. Spencer Larsen, the Senior Manager of Resource Development for the Kelowna Gospel Mission, noted that the dental program serves approximately 2,900 people annually across the region, while the organization maintains four homes for individuals in transition.

In previous years, the annual golf classic has raised as much as $80,000 in a single day. Beyond financial support, the event aims to increase public awareness of the mission’s work and connect new sponsors and volunteers to the cause to meet the growing demand for services for those experiencing homelessness in Kelowna.
