Kelowna Hockey Fest raises funds for local YMCA
More than 1,000 fans gathered at MNP Place in Kelowna on August 22, 2026, for the Kelowna Hockey Fest to raise funds for the YMCA of Southern Interior BC. The event featured over 30 current and former NHL players, including Logan Stankoven, Luke Schenn, and Shea Theodore.
Organized by Kelowna High Performance, the third annual event moved to the smaller MNP Place venue to provide a more intimate experience for spectators. In addition to the main game, the festival included a silent auction, a jersey and stick auction, and various activities for children.
Proceeds from the event are intended to support child and youth development programs, physical activity, and mental health support through the YMCA. Organizers aimed to exceed the $34,000 raised during the previous year's festival to help remove financial barriers for children participating in sports.
