Cultus Lake drowning claims second life in less than two weeks

A man has died following a drowning incident at Entrance Bay in Cultus Lake on Thursday, August 20. Chilliwack RCMP confirmed that the individual, who was on an inflatable boat prior to going missing, was recovered from the water by approximately 2:11 p.m. despite efforts by paramedics and emergency responders.

This incident marks the second fatal drowning at Entrance Bay in less than two weeks, following the death of a 13-year-old on August 8. The investigation into the man's death has been transferred to the BC Coroners Service. Emergency crews, including the Cultus Lake Fire Department and Chilliwack Search and Rescue, assisted in the response.
